Eastwood MSP, Jackson Carlaw, and East Renfrewshire MP, Paul Masterton, joined constituents at The Greenhouse Cafe in Eastwood Health Centre to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Scotland's National Health Service.
The celebratory afternoon tea was organised by East Renfrewshire Council and was attended by many local residents and Provost Fletcher too.
Commenting Jackson Carlaw MSP said:
"It was a pleasure to celebrate 70 years of our Scottish National Health Service with so many constituents who have benefited from its principle of care free at the point of need.
"70 years on and the service has changed with challenges now fundamentally different from 1948.
"Politicians need to not just react to these changes but look fundamentally into the future to ensure the NHS's continued success for all who rely on its services."
