Jackson Carlaw MSP has praised the efforts of the Busby and Clarkston Horticultural Society in The Scotish Parliament.
This follows Mr Carlaw attending the Society's annual flower show on Saturday, 1 September 2018.
One of the key objectives of this year’s event was to raise money for Children in Need with Pudsey making a live appearance at the event.
The Busby and Clarkston Horticultural Society was established in 1947 and is a key part of the local community with it maintaining planters at a local train station, supporting other community centred events, such as the Eaglesham Fair, and holding meetings on a regular basis.
Mr Carlaw who attended Saturday’s event with his wife had previously met with committee members earlier in the year to discuss preparations for this year's flower show.
The Eastwood MSP has also submitted a motion in the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the efforts of the group.
Commenting Eastwood MSP, Jackson Carlaw said:
"It was a pleasure again this year for Mrs Carlaw and I to attend the Busby and Clarkston Horticultural Society’s latest flower show where the talents of green fingered locals were on full display.
"There were a range of spectacular flower collections on show and it’s clear that a great deal of work went into ensuring the event was a resounding success.
"To recognise the Society's continuing triumphs, I have lodged a Scottish Parliament motion to congratulate their commendable efforts and look forward to seeing their continue success in 2018 and beyond."
