Eastwood MSP and Interim Leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Jackson Carlaw joined the leaders of all other political parties at the Scottish Parliament last week to welcome the beginning of Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal for 2019.
Marie Curie’s yearly fundraiser, the Great Daffodil Appeal takes place for the duration of March and has been held since 1986.
Every March, millions of people living in the UK offer their support for the vital work undertaken by Marie Curie simply by making a donation to wear a daffodil pin.
Marie Curie provides expert end of life support for people who are terminally ill and the organisation is the largest charitable provider of hospice care beds in Scotland.
Donations can be made to Marie Curie for the Great Daffodil Appeal by accessing the organisation’s website: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil.
Jackson Carlaw MSP for Eastwood and Interim Leader of the Scottish Conservatives said:
“The vital work carried out by Marie Curie on a daily basis to support people who are living with a terminal illness cannot be understated.
“Alongside the other party leaders at the Scottish Parliament, I was delighted to offer my backing for this year’s Great Daffodil Appeal and to support the fundraising efforts.
“The Great Daffodil Appeal is an extremely worthwhile cause and the donations received help Marie Curie to provide free care to individuals who are terminally ill”.
